Big time Niemela fan here, first to bring him up as a draft target, and very glad he is dominating the scoresheet, but this is clip is almost exactly why defenseman points (assists in particular) are meaningless. No real way to parse it from the data though.

I tell you I could be really excited about our team's prospect base if they'd used their last 1st rounder on, say, a high scoring CHL centre, sort of a Dawson Mercer-type, instead of going after Yegor Korshkov 2.0.
