Game Notes |
| NYI -Ilya Sorokin will likely start for the Islanders -On March 28th the Islanders were sitting in 2nd place in the Metro division. Since then they lost 4 straight games which prompted the abrupt firing of Patrick Roy with just 4 games remaining on the Islanders schedule. This will be new head coach Pete DeBoer's first game behind the bench for the team, and the Islanders are hoping for a big new coach bump as they are currently 3 points out of a playoff spot |
| TOR -Artur Akhtyamov will be making his first career NHL start for the Leafs -Stolarz, Carlo, and Joshua all left Wednesday's game with an injury which will cause some other line-up changes. The Leafs are also sending Bo Groulx back to the Marlies again to protect him from waivers. Haynes and Villeneuve will be getting called back up and Berube has confirmed Haynes will be making his NHL debut in this game but no word yet on if Villeneuve will be suiting up as well |
