-Ilya Sorokin will likely start for the Islanders
-On March 28th the Islanders were sitting in 2nd place in the Metro division. Since then they lost 4 straight games which prompted the abrupt firing of Patrick Roy with just 4 games remaining on the Islanders schedule. This will be new head coach Pete DeBoer's first game behind the bench for the team, and the Islanders are hoping for a big new coach bump as they are currently 3 points out of a playoff spot

-Artur Akhtyamov will be making his first career NHL start for the Leafs
-Stolarz, Carlo, and Joshua all left Wednesday's game with an injury which will cause some other line-up changes. The Leafs are also sending Bo Groulx back to the Marlies again to protect him from waivers. Haynes and Villeneuve will be getting called back up and Berube has confirmed Haynes will be making his NHL debut in this game but no word yet on if Villeneuve will be suiting up as well

I shut the Washington game off after the 1st period. I have zero interest in watching Jarnkrok, Myers and other ineffective players when the team should be losing/giving tryouts.

If Haymes and Villeneuve play I'll absolutely watch tonight.

Exactlly, why not move Quillian over in the line up and see what he can do. Move Domi down and let the tryouts begins.

Jarnkrok, 2 assists in his last 25 games, he's invisible, doesn't even touch the puck for games at a time, while playing 11-14 minutes. It's insane that he gets any ice time whatsoever. He's not evolving, he's done, WTF are they doing having this guy step onto the ice?

I argued with people on here over 2 years ago they should have traded him when his value was high. His 5 goals in 93 playoff games or whatever it was back then, was the clincher for me. Useless playoff performer. I'd rather have seen young guys given the role. Oh well, he'll be gone after this season but he should be done already.

That being said, where the hell are the grown ups in the room to tell him to do his job? This organization is an embarrassment.

Stetcher has been terrible after the first month of solid play. Jarnkrok is soft nothing every single night.

Prioritizing mediocre veterans when we are bottom 7 in the league is unacceptable.

Wasn’t there a rumour Jarnkrok had signed somewhere in Sweden or something next season?
