GFA in the regular season & playoffs for the Marlies was close to the same.
PP jumped from 16.8% in the regular season to 22.4%. Lettirei was in on nearly half the PP goals. Shaw racked up PP pts too. Giordano took the PP over when Sullivan left for the NHL.

The Marlies goalies (mainly Akhtyamov) bore the 80+% of GAA statistical improvement - though the team D helped reduce quality scoring chances to help those stats.

The balance of the GAA improvement came from the skaters. Between the forwards and dmen, I thought the dmen were much steadier defensively. Thrun, Rifai, Benning & Mernis all contributed to help the younger dmen.

Some credit there belongs to Giordano. He's a good man.
