GFA in the regular season & playoffs for the Marlies was close to the same.
PP jumped from 16.8% in the regular season to 22.4%. Lettirei was in on nearly half the PP goals. Shaw racked up PP pts too. Giordano took the PP over when Sullivan left for the NHL.

The Marlies goalies (mainly Akhtyamov) bore the 80+% of GAA statistical improvement - though the team D helped reduce quality scoring chances to help those stats.

The balance of the GAA improvement came from the skaters. Between the forwards and dmen, I thought the dmen were much steadier defensively. Thrun, Rifai, Benning & Mernis all contributed to help the younger dmen.

Some credit there belongs to Giordano. He's a good man.

I understood that to be a reference to the post-combine thing Toronto invites a dozen or so players to every season. In any case, I think player and team both felt the fit immediately and were basically making honeymoon plans without exactly saying it out loud.

When Gavin is sitting on the draft floor chesterfield, he has his hand on his phone laying on the chesterfield cushion. Also, Gavin mentioned in one of the interviews (another video) that he knew that Bieber was going to be there.

They for sure had to coordinate that. You would never have brought Bieber in if you had no intention of picking Gavin.
