Playing the odds. Only 3 coaches in over 100 years. Last one was Bowman. Before him, the 50's.

How's that playing the odds? By that logic anyone who isn't a Stanley Cup winning coach has a better chance of winning a Cup than a coach that has previously won a Stanley Cup. I haven't won a Cup as a coach yet, so am I more likely to win a Cup if I coached the Leafs than Bruce Cassidy if he's the right fit? Ok that's on the nose. How about a minor league coach? An AHL coach? Just using that metric is highly incomplete when determining who to hire.
