He operated in the European leagues and had helped the Leafs land Lehtonen, Barabanov Mikheyev, Zaitsev.

Cam Charron was one of the hockey bloggers that got roped into Dubas' analytics department when he was hired back in 2014.

Me too. There are many great minds out there. Nothing wrong with change when trying to improve the team.
 
Friedman's 32 Thoughts podcast said a source floated out Michael Leighton, former Flyers goalie, as the name to watch for in the goaltending coach replacement conversation. Leighton is currently with the Windsor Spitfires organization.

Dan Cloutier was another name floated.

Must have missed when Dubas said that. There are plenty of guys around that kind of money who would fit the bill if they go that way. Georgiev, Adin Hill, DeSmith, Husso, Reimer, Stolarz, Wedgewood, Holtby, Kahkonen.
 
I just heard Roger Lajoie on the fan say most leafs fans would would trade rosters with the rangers.

-Kreider
-Panarin
-Zibenajad
-Copp
 
Leafs did better against Tampa then the Rangers did last I checked. And they didn't have Point against NY.

Heck no. They have some nice pieces but they were obviously pretenders.

I would lean no too, I like our guys and I don't think the Rangers have a single player as good as Marner or Matthews let alone two of them but I think it largely depends on whether or not you think Lafreniere and Kakko can still develop into top tier guys and I don't watch the Rangers enough to say with any confidence.

Because it's hard to get away from the fact that they just had a 110 point season with significantly more flexibility than the Leafs have payroll wise and with what is probably safe to say is a better prospect group.
