Jets vs. Leafs - Jan. 17th, 7:00pm - SN

Matthews looks like a star again so that honestly has been great.

They need this point. .500 is fine but the Leafs are losing ground if they can't improve their road record

Also use your flipping depth. Laughton, McMann, Robertson should all see the ice particularly if there isn't a faceoff

Give credit to Berube for his roster mgmt that OT. He didn't send Matthews out again too early and he had what it takes to dish the sauce for the GWG.

Yep. That's been a recurring criticism of mine and I think they played that well.

Unless you are actively selling like Vancouver I don't think there is a "weak" team right now in the league. It's a massive hodge podge of mediocre teams who will go on runs and slumps and then a few teams that are the cream on top
There are no easy games in the NHL and the east is crazy this year. Leafs would be 2nd in the Pacific.

I'm probably forgetting a season but I don't recall a season with so many teams not entirely out of it at this point

Next 5 games are against competitive opponents at home, then 4 road games and the break for the Olympics.
Then 6 games to the deadline.
They're just outside of a wildcard spot
Some warts have crept back into their game after the great 10 game run
Nylander is out
They have their work cut out for themselves.
