3 on 3 is a different game. Mobility is more important. Rielly can still skate and has a lot of experience puting up points. I would not blacklist him from 3 on 3. OEL is probably too slow to be great. Tanev, Benoit & Myers don't fit the profile. McCabe & Stecher would be options but better than Rielly? I'm not so sure though you would need at least one of them for the second shift unless they go with 3 forwards.
On that skating theme, Robertson and McMann would be candidates for 3 on 3 that I would consider. Both can score. Robertson is 82nd percentile on NHL edge for skating. McMann is 99th percentile with the 3rd fastest recorded time in the league - why you wouldn't give that a try for 3 on 3 is beyond me.
I thought Hildeby was pretty good and helped get them a point.
Ignoring the result, I think I'd give the edge to the Wings on which was the better team. But some encouraging signs persist from the previous couple of games. Only 3 points out of a wildcard berth. In the West, they would be in a wildcard position.
