Game Notes
PIT
-Tristan Jarry will likely start for the Penguins
-The Pittsburgh Penguins are arguably the biggest surprise of the NHL so far this season. They were the 1st place team in the entire league at the end of October
-39-year old Evgeni Malkin is leading the way in their surprisingly strong start with 18 points in 13 games, good for 7th in league scoring at the moment. Sidney Crosby of course isn't too far behind with 16 points in 13 games
-Former Leafs prospect Justin Brazeau has reaped the benefits of Malkin's hot start as he has 12 points in 12 games playing primarily alongside the Russian centre. He however missed Pittsburgh's last game with an upper body injury so his status is up in the air at the moment
TOR
-Anthony Stolarz will likely start for the Leafs
-Nylander has missed 3 of the past 4 games due to an injury. He seemed very close to playing against the Flyers on Saturday so a return here could be likely but obviously will have to see how he does at the morning skate
-The Leafs will of course be without Chris Tanev again, as the defenceman was placed on the IR on Sunday
