Game Notes
TBL
-Andrei Vasilevskiy will likely start for the Lightning
-A hot streak probably doesn't properly describe what Tampa was on going into the Olympic break. They are 19-1-1 in their last 21 games, a streak that catapulted them right to 2nd overall in the league behind only the Avalanche
TOR
-Joseph Woll will likely start for the Leafs
-The Leafs are expected to have both Rielly and Joshua back in the line-up to start the post-break stretch
-Matthews is expected to be in the line-up as well after flying to Tampa last night, although we may have to wait on confirmation on that

I thought I heard Tanev is going to give it another try before he packs it in. Not sure when he comes back, but if he can stay, that should add a nice boost in the hunt for a playoff spot.

6 games in 9 days. All teams in the Eastern Conference. All teams that have playoff aspirations.

This is the Leafs season. It's completely over after this week or they defy the odds and go on a run.

Matthews should be playing plain and simple and management should be telling him that. Team is in a playoff hunt. Has had ample time to recover and play. He could have chose to forfeit the White House meeting and partying in a strip club from what I heard to obligate his contract and play for the team that’s overpaying you.

I don't understand what this thread is about. Is there still a season going on or something?

I would rather see them become sellers. They ain’t going anywhere anyways so why not start to recoup some picks or young talent that we desperately need.
