Just so we are clear, Backes crosschecks Kadri off the faceoff, goes at him with a stick and then they fight right off the faceoff to start the period.

The crowd reaction to that was so funny, almost like a jovial jeer.
They heard the announcer begin to mention the goal and began to hiss and as soon as he mentions Polak the whole crowd start to laugh and there is a kind of cheer/boo thing happening.

Speaking of rule changes that could increase scoring...why in the world should that goal negate the penalty? The penalty means a team plays short handed for two minutes or until a goal is scored but the Blues never played short handed.
