I think he's gone for a bit. That looks like his left ankle and it's happened more then once. Please get well soon, Willy

I think so too and those take forever to heal. Let's hope he's not out too long even though they did well when he was out before.I thought it was a high ankle sprain earlier on.
Macoun was a beauty too.Leafs haven't been able to clear the front of the net since Ellett and Lefebvre.
He really shouldn't have been out there. Rielly didn't have a good game and Cowan didn't have a good game and they put them together in OT. Why not put out Bobby McMann? Maybe Laughton? Go back to OEL?Just run over the entire pile of players in front of your net, Leafs/Knights, who cares, hockey 101.
They stopped playing after Laughton scored; it was firing squad by the Knights for the rest of the game. They got a miracle (offside challenge) and still didn't put it together. Cowan is a rookie, but it was hard to watch him be that timid in OT, curling back every time he had the puck, afraid to do anything at all.
This right here. Berube makes some horrible decisions at times. Cowan didn't have a good game at all, took a brutal penalty that changed the game in the 3rd period and he gets a shift in OT? I get running your best player in Matthews but there was no gas left in the tank for him to even attempt to get back. Rielly sometimes has zero awareness. He simply cannot miss the net there on an extremely low percentage shot.He really shouldn't have been out there. He had a 40 second shift to start and then there was this shift of 1:16. He was gassed. There was zero chance he was getting back. Calling him out for being tired?Watching the ESPN feed and seeing Matthews deep in the Vegas end and coasting back is unacceptable. How many times has he cost us in OT with either being gassed or lazy. He needs to be called out for it but nothing will be said. Brutal.
I blame Bérubé more for this. He overuses Matthews (and Nylander) in overtime and it leads to plays like this where Matthews is out late in the 3rd a lot when the bench shortens and then we double shift him in OT. He has game breaking ability so I get why you want him there but Matthews has never been a MacKinnon or McDavid where they seem to get faster the longer they are on the the ice. Matthews gets gassed. He can't get back in the play and then we have effort conversations when it's pretty Damon obvious that Bérubé can't manage the benchHe had a 40 second shift to start and then there was this shift of 1:16.
