What's Don Granato doing? He coached Auston in the USHL (kidding ..)
Seems evident that they need to try a new coach - they have nothing to lose except more games.
Hard to credibly assess without being in the room but from the outside, I didn't mind Berube.
I thought the players should have tried a little harder for him. But I wasn't in the room ..

I don’t think they’ve quit on him, which is actually part of the problem. They had a lot of these same issues last season, they were just getting better goaltending and had a more successful PP. This is the team trying to execute the coaching staff’s game plan.

You can try all you want. If the game plan is flawed, you're constantly going uphill.

Imagine what is going to happen when this team plays Colorado. They'll be lucky to keep it below nine.

Agreed. The system is wrong. I've said it before, when they had success last week they were playing more like Keefe's system of puck possession. This isn't a work harder thing.
 
Early New Year's resolution - no more Leaf games for me until something changes. Tired of watching these guys just going through the motions.

That's true - flawed for the talent they had ...
But it feels like they've given up or quit on him - regardless of system issues.
I'm not too keen that.
If I found out that was so, I wouldn't just nail the coach.
More of this is on GM DNA who put this mess together.

Tre should never have been hired. Same with Berube. Tulsky was the guy to get from the Canes if you were changing GMs.
