Getting guided in doesn't give a guy license to do whatever he wants to the goalie, such as crosschecking him in the mask. Goalie's job is the puck, completely vulnerable, not like any other skater, deserves additional slack.

Yup. He made a good point about Kerfoot but not with Backes hitting Freddie. Ron is right he didn't have to bring his stick up. Hrudey is lame most of the time.

It makes no sense to me.

If a guy turns his back to a hit and gets driven into the boards from behind it's still a hit from behind. 

I don't know why guys are allowed to bowl over the goaltender in the crease.
