As much flack as Toronto gets, Winnipeg's year wasn't much better. Here's what we learned this playoffs. Mitch Marner can put up points in the playoffs in a sheltered, 3rd line role and also, he still disappears when the games matter most.


(At the end of the day, Marner spurned the Leafs and chose to go elsewhere. I think it's ok to dunk on him right now)

Groundbreaking? Simply (him and Rantanen) maybe made a mistake not going (or staying in Carolina?) Not much more to it. Players spurned Carolina, they won anyway.

It was reported at the time, Marner would have accepted a trade to Vegas... so, maybe a little disingenuous.

I didn't watch a second of the finals but taking a quick look at the stats - Eichel had 0 goals in the finals and 2 overall? This doesn't get any scrutiny? Well I guess that's the advantage of playing in such a hot market where no one gives a shit.
