Leafs re-acquire TJ Brennan

So does Brennan get a shot at the NHL after we trade Phaneuf or is he there to be our AHL leader. I'm good with either.
I hope he gets a shot, even just a few games. He deserves it. Funny to see that his numbers have been pretty low this year in the AHL. 72 points in 76 games with the Marlies, 36 in 54 this year with Rockford.

Man, this team loves reacquiring players. Frattin hasnt turned out as planned I would think. Hopefully TJ can be a call up? Really scratching my head over this one.

Abbot was never going to see time with the big club. Brennan has a chance, certainly will help the Marlies.

Brennan's a RFA at the end of the season, so this trade could be just as much for next season than it is for now. Particularly for the Marlies, as their offence/powerplay has really suffered without him.

Was Abbott on an expiring contract? Brennan is, so if Abbott wasn't then that's another consideration.

The team the Marlies got Brennan from, Chicago, is the bubble team they're trying to catch. Maybe this was just a money thing ($600k one way deal for Brennan - Abbott was on a two way deal).
