Andersen covered some loose play in our end but wow that was a good period against a top team.
 
That play by Muzzin made me laugh.  Fakes the slap shot icing to flick the puck through the air for icing. 
 
So is Calgary not a playoff team or in real trouble because they are losing to a beat up Leafs team pretty badly.

Assuming this game holds up the Leafs are 9 points and 8 regulation/OT wins up on Montreal for the 3rd spot in the division. 

It would also move them into 4th place in the league in overall record and yet they would play on the road in the first two playoff series if the standings stay as they are.
 
Marner's assist on the Hyman's 2nd goal was vintage Mitch but Hyman's puck recovery behind the net to start the sequence was a subtle thing of beauty.

The score flatters the Leafs a fair bit ... they have given up a lot of decent or better scoring chances.
 
I just got home and turned on the game and saw the score and laughed. Is Mike Smith in net or something?
