-Jacob Markstrom will likely start for the Devils
-New Jersey received an early Christmas present as Jack Hughes and Timo Meier returned to the line-up after extended absences. Their returns has not helped them on the scoreboard though as the Devils are 0-2-1 in those 3 games. Over the last 14 games they have just 4 wins and they've fallen just outside of an incredibly tight wild card race in the East at the moment

-Toronto had a day off on Monday which means there's no update on the injured William Nylander

The Devils have a strong PP that will face the Leafs strong PK
They have a weak PK that will face the Leafs weak PP (until recently ..)
Roughly average defensively but low scoring beyond their PP.
I haven't seen them since they played the Leafs in October.
I know there have been some injuries but I thought the Devils would have a better record.

I honestly think somethings going on with him mentally. Said it before kinda funny how all of it went down after his last game. Got pulled a couple times if I recall maybe 3 within a weeks span, got pulled, left the ice, didn't come back to the bench for remaining 2 periods or whatever was left and has been out now for how long without any word. I think he had a fallout with Berube over getting pulled and here we are. Why wouldn't he come back to the bench? Whole thing stinks. Just my thoughts.

Well injuries suck, but glad to see Quillan getting another game. On the flip side bummer to see Benning up but not playing.
