Blackhawks vs. Leafs - Nov. 15th, 7:00pm - SN

I personally think that was one of the team's better games of the past couple weeks. Their chances for went up. Their chances against seemed to go down. Despite a slow start in the 1st, their shot total went up. If Cowan buries one or two of his 3 breakaways, it's a different game.

Takeaway for me:
  • Woll looked nervous to start but settled in nicely.
  • Cowan, even with his brain fart delay of game penalty, looked pretty good.
  • Line of Knies, Cowan, Roy looked strong. I would be open to giving that line a longer look, even when Matthews comes back.
  • Myers is not an NHLer, not even on a emergency basis. There has to be better options in the minors. Mermis stays in the line up before Myers IMO. I guess both would be out when Carlo comes back and Stecher joins the team?
  • Nylander has to start moving his feet. I love that he's put up a lot of points, but he seems more disengaged than ever. Floating and watching.

Mermis has outplayed Benoit at this point, I'd love to see a run where Mermis gets priority over Benoit too
