Josh Morrissey maybe...defense is tough...Burns (too old at that point?) and Nurse too.

Ok, ok, war crime cancelled I didn't take that into consideration. Although that 2016 team was way too fun and successful for the league to think it's a good idea to try again so I'd be surprised if it was there.

I also tried to take into consideration who would still have their skating legs in 2025, and some 200HockeyMen takes on 4th lines and 3rd pairs.

In any case, the US squad looks dope almost any way you slice it.

I know that this firmly establishes me in the minority but while I thought the U23 team was fun, I think it contributed to that tournament feeling kind of disposable and meaningless. Sure, Canada still won without McDavid but I want some best on best hockey regardless of age. I'd be more into a Canada/USA B-Team serving as Team North America if they do that again.

No that's fair. For me in an ideal world we'd have the Olympics as the true best on best tournament and the World Cup as something that uses a looser format. But considering we haven't had that true best on best Olympics in awhile whatever ends up happening first should be done properly.

When I think of Canadian international best-on-best hockey, historically, I think of a scary blue line and dominant goaltending. This looks like a 5-4 team, not a 4-0 team.
