Fun note, he is both a Boston and Vancouver fan (2011 cup final was interesting), and the Leafs are linked to two executives from those teams (nothing about that).

He could ask for a trade. He may have already asked for a trade, and Sundin's job #1 is to convince him otherwise.

I also think AM34 has stipulated that Berube has to go.

Maybe what happens tonight with the draft lottery will seal the deal either way.

It's odd wording though. He's not sure? He can ask for a trade, but the decision is not up to him. Unless he holds out of camp and there's no way that would happen. Makes me think it's either nothing at all, although CJ is not known for clickbait, or the team may want to move him embracing a rebuild, but that's not what they're saying either. It doesn't add up.
