Yes but they, like the Leafs never tried him in a spot where he could show his talents. He was a 1st line player with the Marlies. So he's a 4th line player in the NHL? Totally different roles. He did nothing in the 1st 6 games with the Bruins. They moved him up the lineup and boom. Will it continue? Who knows but he's been given a chance. Just like Robertson this year. They finally put him in the top 6 and he flourished. And now Berube in his wisdom has now put him back on the 4th line because he tries too hard I guess.
I've never understood the calling up a 1st line guy to put on the 4th line in the NHL. You need a bottom 6 guy, that's who you call up.
