2026 Blue Jays

Guerrero can't be a 500 million dollar singles hitter

I think we see this every year with Vladdy early in the season, he drives balls into the ground. He'll get his launch angle up and will start hitting home runs. He needs to improve on the 23 he hit last season.

Swing decisions are a real problem with the roster right now. I don't like how the team is playing and it's showing with their poor results so far. The American League is bad right now that is our only saving grace but the Yankees and once again the nonsense Rays where they sell off and have nobodies dominate the second they get to the Majors are creating a wide gap.

Springer regressing is a problem because they didn't bother to replace the cumulate bat of over performance, Springer's fluke season and losing Bo.

Vlad needs to step up. The slow starts need to stop from him. The ground ball to end the 8th was so predictable from him.

Springer has regressed. Barger is apparently made of glass. Okamoto is currently the only qualified hitter with an OPS over .800

This is a frustrating team.

Gerritt Cole is getting closer to returning for the Yankees. Tampa is on yet another "we did nothing to actually improve our team but we are dominant anyway" season. They aren't going to be in the division race by June at this rate.

I know Tucker isn't having a crazy start to his season in LA but it's glaring how much this roster needed to add another bat

The Jays were really squinting and hoping Barger was going to give them 25-30 home runs and be that needed bat once they missed out on Tucker. It's frustrating to have gotten basically nothing from Santander after he hit 44 bombs in his last year before free agency. The move to bring in Jesús Sánchez hasn't really worked.

I wonder if Vlad needs to change his approach and sacrifice some base hit potential with driving some balls to the outfield. That being said, this team really misses Kirk.
