Ranking Prospects 2025-26

15 powerplay points in 18 games this season. Last season in 67 games he had........ two (2).

That looks like they didn't give him PP minutes last season.

Nansi was in the bottom 6 (usually 4th line) last season.

This year he's playing top-6 deployment on the wing.

“I had no idea how good Tinus was,” Leksands coach Johan Hedberg told The Athletic in October. “If he keeps going like he’s been going, he’s going to be our best player by the end of the year.”

Teenagers aren’t supposed to be playing as well in the SHL as Koblar has. Fellow 2025 second-round pick Theo Stockselius is playing the majority of his season in Sweden’s junior league.

Among 18-year-olds, the Norwegian-born Koblar is sixth in SHL scoring with five points in 21 games. His blend of playmaking and physicality makes him a rare player.

“(Koblar) has taken the chance to play well and he’s made it easy for us to play him,” Persson said.

The Leksands coaching staff insists it never intended for Koblar to become so vital to the senior team this season.

He started out on the 4th line in spot duty, and has since shifted to middle 6 centre, ~17min per game as an 18 year old in a professional mens league.

He will be featuring prominently on Norway's World Junior team.

That's awesome. I'm hoping that they have hit on some diamonds in the rough in the last couple of drafts. It would be great if Danford ended up channeling his inner Barret Jackman. Just need a couple of hits. This draft is the one that really crippled the prospect pool. Which is funny because they had a lot of picks:

Nobody from that draft has played an NHL game, and unfortunately Rodion Amirov passed away. This is the worst draft in the Leafs history. There are a couple of others that come close, like the 1999 draft and the 2004, but usually someone the Leafs draft plays a couple of games in the NHL. I still hold out hope that Villeneuve makes the jump at some point.
