Series 47: The Final Homestand - Yankees @ Blue Jays

Lest you all think it's always only negative going on, Stroman has looked great again.

I was going to say something about adrenaline but I'm pretty sure his blood is made of sugar and speed or something.  He's been fantastic.  Beats the Yankees twice!

I tried to keep my expectations in check, but he's exceeded them by so much. It's hard not to get incredibly excited.

If there were a 10 minute YouTube video showing nothing but Marcus Stroman pumped and excited, I'd watch every second of it.

The Jays are now only a single game behind the Royals for tops in the AL, and the Royals are presently down 3-2 at home in the top of the 9th.

Tempering expectations. This is a Toronto team after all. But this win swings favourably for the Jays.

I don't think my heart is ready to withstand playoff baseball.  :-[

Royals won in the 10th.

Team  Remaining  Magic Number
C - Royals  11  10
E - Blue Jays  10  N/A
WC1 - Yankees  11  8
W - Rangers  11  7
WC2 - Astros  9  3
Twins  11  3
Angels  10  2
DIVISION    8
WC1    3
WC2    3

The Jays magic number for the 1st Wild-card is now down to 3 games.  The division is down to 8.  The Jays would need to go 7-3 and the Royals 6-5 down the stretch to win the AL Pennant.  The Royals have one game against Seattle, one game against the Cubs, 3 against the Indians, 3 against the White Sox and 3 against the Twins.

I think if they clinch the AL East, I'll relax... it's been so long since the team's been in the playoffs at all, that simply reaching the post-season (especially since this was looking like another write-off year during the first half) will feel like a huge accomplishment.  Getting to watch actual playoff games would be gravy.

I really hope they can bring back Price and Estrada and keep this team mostly intact for next season--I'd love to see what they could do with a full season together.

I'm just glad tonight is a night off. Three consecutive 3am+ finishes have done nothing for my productivity in the office.

6 games against TB! Blue Jays kryptonite. I won't relax unless they clench the division or win a wild card game, we're not is this for a one game playoff. I wouldn't even consider losing a wild card game making the playoffs. As a true Toronto fan it's hard to believe it until we see it.

Watching Stroman all fired up and emanating all that enthusiasm is worth the price of admission itself, nevermind that he dumbfounded the Yankees up on that mound.

David Price 2.0.

Anyone able to buy single game postseason seats? I'm in cue right now... clicked at 10am on the dot and I'm still in cue... not looking to promising.

Nope. Kinda wish I had called instead of trying online.

I'm pretty sure they were only on sale online.

I got two single tickets for game 5... not sure what the plan is yet. Resale or go, does anyone know if there is any good viewing in the stadium not in a seat. At the back of aisle or something? Section 244 and 107.
