Streams for those in need.

Pillar was a great surprise last year and could do it again this year hitting leadoff.

I think if you're not already, you need to tune into the Jays game, like, right now.

Damn it. Never mind.

It's not my fault, I didn't even say why or anything.

Can we start a petition to have whatever that is sticking out the back of Donaldson's hat burned with fire?

I thought it looked better than the douche cut he had going last season.

Sanchez was awesome, unfortunately Jays now down 3-2 heading to the 9th. I have a hard time being overly critical of Cecil considering how good he's been overall. Lack of production with RISP has been a problem once again so far.

If that's the standard for the new rule, I'm not a fan. I'm all for protecting the players from slides that are made with no intention of getting to the base, but the runners need to be afforded some leeway. It would be one thing if Jose really grabbed onto the guy's leg/ankle/foot, but, I have a hard time buying that's what took place there.

Re:  New sliding rule:

The original rule:
6.01(a)-6  If, in the judgment of the umpire, a base runner willfully
and deliberately interferes with a batted ball or a fielder
in the act of fielding a batted ball with the obvious intent
to break up a double play, the ball is dead.
The umpire shall call the runner out for interference and also call out
the batter-runner because of the action of his teammate.
In no event may bases be run or runs scored because of
such action by a runner;

This is what the new rule denotes:
rule 6.01 (j), that the runner's actions hindered and impeded the fielder

Gibbons was clearly upset:
(Blue Jays)managerJohn Gibbons is certainly no fan of baseball?s new rule on breaking up double plays.

"Maybe we?ll come out wearing dresses tomorrow," Gibbons said. "Maybe that?s what everybody?s looking for."

I think that gets called regardless. New rule or not. Ya cant reach out to grab a guys ankle. Now he didn't pull at it but still.. Cant do that..thing is it really had no impact. That throw probably would have happened anyway.
