Sergei Bobrovsky is a Maple Leaf

I think this does really give AA the prime opening to be the goalie of the future. Who would have thought that prior to the Calder?

It's totally up to Bob. He's the HOFer. McKenna should take 12 for now lol. He's going to get a really nice watch for his troubles.

12 is a good compromise. He can jump back to 72 when he signs his second contract after Bob retires with another Cup (let me specify that he wins this Cup with the Leafs).

I've definitely always been on team #12 for McKenna, so hopefully this puts that into motion. 27 here is retired, so is 9 (he's worn that with Canada).

Woll and Stolarz could only crease-share to post decent stats and stay healthy. All biases aside, you never knew when Woll physically/mentally would be available. I think the G is definitely in a better spot today, both in reliability and in skill.

At least you know Bob can make starts, which is very much needed. The $7m price tag means the Leafs think he can still be an elite goalie but I think those days are past us.

I was a little shocked to see the Leafs in on Bobrovsky, partly due to his age but mostly due to his atrocious numbers last year. I didn't; however, realize how injury-riddled the Panthers were for most of last season and (as per Noodles via Overdrive) he started games where there were as many as 12 regulars out of the lineup. So maybe we can see a nice bounce back? I'm just happy it wasn't for the reported potential 6-year deal.
