If there was an ability to mute I would've done it a long time ago. I don't have to read but it takes away from what the purpose of the forum is, which is to talk about the Leafs and hockey in general, not relitigate Mitch Marner's time in Toronto every single time his name is invoked for whatever reason regardless of thread. Even the draft thread was hijacked with Mitch's time here. It's tiring and off-putting.

Funny how were literally not talking about the final and just about Mitch. How many people are going to be left on this site after that much ad nauseum posting?

This Marner thing started up again because Bill Berg's post joking about the absurdity of the media was mis-construed as being anti-Marner. I'm not sure why people are so sensitive about him, on either "side" of the argument.

When topics get hijacked with Marner talk at every turn and can get derailed at a moment's notice it can get pretty irritating.

I think the biggest thing we can say is a disastrous season did not in fact end in the worst possible scenario.

Marner had a hell of a run but didn't win the Cup so we won't listen to that narrative for the next 2 months
We could have given up the 6th overall pick but instead got McKenna
We could have kept Bérubé but didnt
Sundin is back

Congratulations to Carolina. Back in the penalty box days I remember having a few conversations with a newer Carolina fan in our Conference finals matchup. Good memories.

Now bring on the draft and moving forward
