MLB Trade Deadline

Cubs knew who they were getting in Chapman, as much as the Wrigley Field DJ knew the context behind his song choice.

There is something amusing (not really) where Chapman gets a 30 day suspension for domestic violence and the guy who "unintentionally" plays this song as he leaves the game gets fired.  One of those things is not like the other.

It's likely someone from this year's draft. If I remember correctly, players can't be traded within the 1st year of them being signed.

He was a waiver claim... Does that still count?

I could also say much more inflammatory statements and get voted in to represent a major political party in an upcoming presidential election.

He still insists he did nothing wrong, and confusing arguing with hitting or vice versa.

Another August trade:

Braves traded SS Erick Aybar to Tigers for INF Mike Aviles and minor league C Kade Scivicque.

Atlanta clears room for Dansby Swanson to play SS immediately and gets a decent catching prospect in their farm system.

Detroit gets someone to fill in at SS while Iglesias is out and an upgrade to their bench (over Aviles) when he returns. Tigers are desperately trying to stay in the playoff race while battling a bunch of injuries.
