The leafs look amazingly awful.  4 on 2 and they can?t even get the puck below the circle.

Not sure I fault Sparks on either goal.

Team needs to play some defence in front of him.

One of them was tipped not much he's gonna do. He moved too much on the first goal. Outshot like they are there's a bigger problem here than Sparks.

This is leafs hockey for the last 4 years.  As the talent builds the effort hasn?t.  Same unprepared hockey we have seen for years.

Takes a whole team to defend and not many on this team that know how to do it. Too many that won?t take the body, sacrifice the body to block shots, no one clears the front of the net, too many soft players. Dubas has to address it with more grit and less flair.

Team has struggled with these issues for a long time. Babcock and company haven?t fixed it since he got here. Team is near the bottom of the league in hits and can?t find blocked shots but wouldn?t be surprised if they are near the bottom in that.

Leafs D as structured is pretty much a #1 in Rielly and then 5 number 6/7s.

If Matthews isn?t hurt then I don?t know what his problem is. Kid should dominate most nights but he?s done absolutely jack sh*t for weeks. If he?s playing passive because he?s worried about injuries then I hope we don?t throw the big money at him like I?ve heard. Marner has more grit than this kid and considering the size differences it boggles my mind.

At the end of the day, the leafs woes are due to poor coaching.

After only 1 shot in the last 10 minutes of the 1st period the leafs have come out with a total of zero shots in the first 5 minutes of the second.  Nice.

Torcheck has missed 20 plus games and is all over the leafs. Out skating them to every puck.
