Mr. John "currently playing at a point-per-game" Mitchell just took a Pitkanen slapshot off the face; ouch!

From the Rangers message boards (currently in game 6 against Ottawa):

> Can someone please tell me why the **** "Useless" Mitchell is out there??

> Mitchell on the pp again. Torts is truly a joke.

> We have ****ing Mitchell and ****ing Fedotenko on the power play and no Kreider. Torts is a ****ing TERRIBLE coach. TERRIBLE.

Looks like Johnny M. isn't getting any more love there than he did here.

Story here

2g 1a for John tonight, 2nd star

4g 1a 5 pts, +5, in 7 games for Colorado this season

Nice start. Good for him!

Almost didn't believe it when I saw ol' Johnny stone hands  in an intermission interview tonight.  7 pts in 11 games though (and another 2 tonight so far makes it 9 in 12), good for him.

And those pics explain why his face was all marked up, ouch.  He came back out and scored after that too?!

It's a nice story, but an excellent example of why the Leafs shouldn't be going after O'Reilly.  Top producers on bad teams need to be taken with a grain of salt, even if they are younger players.

He's not worth the asking price.

So we shouldn't trade Kadri for Mitchell?  ;)

I don't see how John Mitchell having a strong start is an example of why the Leafs shouldn't go after O'Reilly.  He looks like a very good player beyond just his goals/assists.
