Groulx has to come in for MacEwan; Hiller only tolerated 5 minutes of Zack attack.
Stecher doesn't deserve to come out, but getting Blankenburg some puck feel with fresh legs wouldn't be a bad thing on a back to back.

I really do hope we use the spare bodies to keep people fresh. This season isn't quite as compressed as last year but it's still 84 games and the Leafs have a stupid amount of back to backs....while playing a rested opponent.

I didn't hate MacEwan on the ice to be honest. I do think we have enough guys who can skate fast and hit though that outside of grudge match games that I would rather see a guy like Groulx who has a bit more offensive upside in the lineup.

I'm expecting a better game out of McKenna tonight after the first game jitters.

Really rooting for Groulx to make an impact this year. It seems as though he is *right there*.

At some point, not right now obviously, I think we'll see Marchenko move to the right side, and Cowan or McKenna will be moved onto that line and Roslovic will be be moved to the third line.

Obviously it was tough to predict Marchenko would be acquired 3 months later but he really makes Roslovic kinda redundant. He was very clearly meant to provide the right-handed offensive option for Matthews and PP1 that's now filled by Kirill. I think he's still got value especially as an injury-replacement option in the top-6 at both centre or right-wing but tough to figure out what to do with him until then. Weird fit for a 3rd line that eats defensive zone draws.

As you allude to, I’d say there’s a good chance we’ve many injuries over the season. I think it’s nice to have that depth and option. Even nights when someone else is off he can be moved up and down the lineup, a bit like Cowan for McKenna last night
