FEEDBACK ON NEW FORUM SOFTWARE

Perhaps I'm missing it, but there used to be a button beside threads that would bring you to the last read post (or first new one) from your last visit. Is there a way to do that? A see the "new posts" button at the top, but still doesn't bring you right there. I'm viewing on a PC

Looking for an answer in the forums documentation. I'll get back to ya.

This is what I came to mention also, so glad it’s not just my age and becoming a technophobe 😃

Looks great! Just reporting: when I try to bookmark the GDT page on my Android phone, it doesn't "take"; instead, it sends me to the new TMMToday homepage.

Hopefully you'll see a new History at the top of the forums. That's the best I can do at the moment. Sorry.

Each thread page has a "watch" button on the top right corner. This adds the thread to your watch list. Along the top of the site page, you will see a "Watched" tab where all your watched threads are kept. Might be a way to accomplish what you are after.

If you click on the time of the most recent post, it takes you to the first new post since you last checked the thread. It’s not as intuitive as the button, but it works.

I have noticed the timestamps for posts are way off for me, though. It’s like the forum is in a different time zone.

In your profile preferences you can select your proper time zone. Mine was somewhere in the South Pacific.

I’ve actually discovered that if you just click on the thread title when there’s new posts it takes you to the first new post so no need for the little button.

And the thread title is bold when there’s new posts.

It did have all threads bold and “new” originally and took you to the first post so I presume this was as they’d been restored from a back up. But if you go and mark all posts as read it kind of resets this going forward

I have found that if I just click on the title of the thread, it brings me to the newest post in that thread. I'm on PC, Windows 11.

Great job Rick and team.

I'm still getting used to navigating the new format.

One of my favorite pages on the old forum was the recent posts section where you could see the latest posts and their content, is their something similar here?

When I click new threads here, it gives me the threat titles, but not the content of the posts.

Like this: https://tmltoday.ca/community/whats-new/latest-activity ?

Found it by clicking the "What's New" dropdown tab at the top, and then latest activity.
