Cowan has done some things that show me he is capable of playing in the NHL right now. But the standard for a rookie shouldn't be capable of playing...it should be that he's forcing the issue. I don't think the team is appreciably better with Cowan in the lineup over Jarnkrok. I think Cowan is going to be a better player if he is getting regular minutes. Nylander spent two years bouncing back and forth between in the NHL and AHL. No offense to Cowan but he's not a better player than Nylander.
