Bruins vs. Leafs - Nov. 11th, 7:00pm - TSN4

Steeves wasn't given enough of a chance but are a dime a dozen. The problem like LK just said our depth sucks is because we traded it all away and I'm not talking Steeves.
And so are guys like Lorentz...rather give a guy a shot that can actually score goals,

All he did was lead the AHL in goals for most of the year last year. He's also the alltime leader in pts and goals in Marlies history.
I’m not trying to be a dick, honestly I’m on board with almost everything being said here, but that’s not exactly an impressive list:

I’m just not seeing Steeves as being any kind of difference maker. This feels like the Wellwood debate all over again.

This looks more like what the Leafs should be playing like. Again, too late, but it’s clearly possible and not a roster composition or system issue.

That's not on the D at all there. Pure shit by Stolarz. Stand up and LOOK for the puck.
Not as easy as it sounds. Carlo is > 6 1/2 feet with his skates on. You would have to be about 11 ft tall to see the puck from over Carlo's head because Carlo was screening well out from the net. Khusnutdinov was having his way in the crease so Stolarz was limited in how much he could give up going to a side to look for the puck. And so he didn't see the shot through the screen.
I don't have as much of a problem with that goal in terms of Stolarz play.
The Steeves goal was stoppable - not a good one for Stolarz (good for Steeves)

Hasn't this been an issue for 3 coaches now? I think that says it all really...what hasn't changed over that 10 year period?

He's not.

Shanahan and rest of the dumbass management ruined this team. I harped on changing the core going back to when Nylander held out. Don't care how talented they are they should have never been allowed to run the show. Changes should have been made long ago. I understand rolling it back to see if they could get over the hump but I all along knew that this core didn't and never will have it in them. Now it's gotten worse and will continue to do so.

Maybe Berube does need fired. But what kind of coaches are out there? They'll make Lalonde interim. I don't want that, he looks like the vice principal from Back to the Future

There’s always potential coaches out there that we might not know about. Don’t need to bring in a big name. That hasn’t worked out for the Leafs since Quinn.
