Avalanche @ Leafs - Jan. 25th, 1:30pm - TSN4

To be fair, they've been filled in the whole game. 0-6 in scoring chances, 0-4 in shots.
So we have finally found a player Bérubé is going to hold accountable for me. Of all the crap this team has done this year Quillan is the only guy he benches

I take it back. I thought all of L4 was similar in time. They've played dbl....that's ridiculous.

Watching Makar fly through the neutral zone is like something a Leaf fan is not used to. Why can’t the Leafs draft a fast skating defenceman?
Well it starts with having a scouting team that isn't complacent. You also have to commit to doing what is best for a long term rebuild. And then there is luck. 0-3 for the Leafs there.

So I think I will just start to reiterate to people, anybody who will listen really, that the only vote we get is with our money and our time. I don't know when Toronto fans actually give up. Is it after a majority of Leaf fans have never seen them win a cup?

I don't think anybody is actively trying to be bad at their jobs, this team just doesn't have the same incentives as other teams. As long as they are the richest team in the sport, they will continue to have poor results. Especially in a league that punishes a team for having a lot of money.

I gotta go pick up my son at his job, which is 45 minutes away. Means I probably won't see the third. Watch them mount a comeback and win.

Watching McMann and Tavares back check just before the 3rd goal was so … painful. Sure they are tired but they should get off earlier or just try moving their feet if only for a few seconds to stop the Colorado forward from having a clear path to the net.

The odds for the Avalanche winning this game are now at 20000. I don’t remember a line that high ever. (Although I don’t bet on these things so I am a complete neophyte when it comes to this …).

Rielly just defended that 2 on 1 by turning around to skate forward and take no one. It's baffling how bad he is as a defender

Has Tavares won a faceoff on the PP this year? It feels like every single PP starts with the puck back in the Leafs zone

finally get a nice possession shift. Goalie without his stick and Benoit puts the puck into the far corner where there isn't a Leaf near the puck ending sustained pressure

Wouldn’t it be cool if a reporter actually raised that point with Berube? Or the lack of a threat of a slap shot using 44 as the quarterback?

Playing the same style with the same players on the PP after 4 months is indefensible IMHO.
