2026 Blue Jays

Any of Pinango, Sanchez, Valenzuela or Lukes deserves to be in the lineup before Springer. And the fact that Springer is not only in the lineup, but hitting first, is absolutely bonkers. (Sadly, each of those aformentioned players could take Vladdy's spot too).

Vladdy has a good AVG. I think with his lack of power, leadoff might be a good fit.

Ignoring the fact that his AVG was about .230 in May and currently under .200 in June, I'm not sure that's the answer. Right now he's a barely average fielding first baseman with single digit power and awful running who can only hit singles. And for the cherry on top, he's making $36 million

Well, Kirk did his job last night, as did Springer. Let's see if they can do it again today with Gaus pitching.

I hope they can turn a corner here.

Yet another masterclass of Schneider's managing today. First two runners on base....make Clement try to bunt (spoiler, he can't). Then leave Kirk on the bench to let McAdoo hit with the bases loaded.

Bottom half of the inning the Yankees score two right away to take a 3-1 lead

this is a flawed team. They have injury concerns. They probably have 3-4 more wins right now if Schneider wasn't the manager

Feeling increasingly pessimistic about the Jays. Could have easily swept the Yankees this weekend but fumbled it. Maybe the magic isn't there this year.

I get we have reinforcements coming for the rotation (Bieber is close) but the organization running with two bullpen days for weeks while also having Patrick Corbin unable to go more than 4-5 innings....man, I feel like the Jays needed to just bring in a few disposable arms that even if they were going to give up 5-6 runs over 5-6 innings it would have been better than completely burning out the lights out bullpen.

The offense showing absolutely zero willingness to adapt to the outside pitch. They don't strike out...because they swing at pitches well off the plate and make weak contact leading to lots of ground balls.
