It seemed obvious that something like this was coming.
UFA market sucked. GMs are desperate to compete - pressured to win now to keep their jobs.
Like trapped rats, they're going to scurry down every corridor of the CBA RFA maze looking for a way out.
And here we are .. except I doubt it is over.
I just reviewed outstanding UFAs. There are a few left but not many (Giroux, Kane, Mantha, Stanley, etc)
I was looking at RFA targets a couple of weeks ago. There's more meat on those leftover bones (though teams may be limited if they don't have all their picks ... like the Leafs missing their 1st, 3rd & 4th - Carlo, Maccelli, the Hildeby-Paul trade ... ugh)
