FWIW, Mad Max is making a rehab start in Buffalo on Friday. He could be back within a couple weeks.

Turnbull sounds like he might be pretty close, too - in fact, he's penciled to pitch today. Manoah's a little further away, but could possibly be an option later in the season.

As things stand, Turnbull should be considered part of the bullpen until he shows he can handle a starter's load.

I should say, the Vladdy from the last 2-3 games is the Vladdy we need to see much more consistently. Made a fantastic diving stop yesterday, drove the ball very hard (in the air!) RBI's, walks, very dangerous!

He smoked a fastball the preceding game way out of the park, which is what he should be doing with centre cut fastballs. Hopefully he's starting to go into beast mode.

Yeah, with yesterday's game he's getting close to his career averages. He still needs a little more power.

Vlad's stats are much better hitting out of the 3rd slot instead of batting 2nd in the order. Maybe keep him batting 3rd?
