2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

Who said Savard was the whole problem?
Actions speak louder than words.
Who else got fired, traded, waived or sent down?

One guy took the fall for many ... for now.
Of course, the guys who fired him said they were taking full responsibility too ...:)

We are now ranked 7th with a GF/G of 3.28 and 347 points, I know it doesn't mean much when we're mired in such a tight playoff race, but for me when I look at the standings I can't help but add 4 points, I really believe Stolie was playing hurt or something else going on, but he wasn't himself and this is not a knock on him, but there were 2 games in there where we were playing good enough to win and he let some real stinkers, so in reality this team should be in the first wildcard spot, and that's my optimistic view of the day...lol

Average goaltending for those first few weeks of the season plus a competent PP in the first half, and this team is a clear playoff squad. Doesn't mean they were playing well by any means, but they're better than their record. If the Woll/Hildeby tandem can hold the fort well enough the rest of the way, the Leafs can definitely climb into a playoff spot.
