That was an odd game in some ways but Leafs took full advantage of their opportunities.  And some non-opportunities.

The scoreboard makes it look like a laugher, but if not for Andersen early, and some weird/shaky Flames goaltending, it could have been 6-2 for the Flames.
And I'm betting the Leafs know it. Freddie saved their butts last night.

He did.  It was the same old story of sloppy play in their own end.  Marincin and Ozhiganov were not sharp.  And a couple of times in the 3rd I suddenly saw Ozhiganov flying into my screen because he was making a deep incursion into the offensive zone with a 3-goal lead.  Why?

It's hard to say if that's the way Babs wants them to play because he's not the only one who does it.

Totally agree. They need to get him in.

I mean I know that Oz wouldn't be in the lineup if we weren't missing Dermott and Gardiner but there was a reason he fell out of the lineup.  I agree that Holl should get a better opportunity.  Playing 1 game every 30 games isn't a way to make an assessment on his play.

Muzz is the only reason Oz went out. I think Oz still could be serviceable. There has to be some major adjustments going from the big ice to NHL ice and I think he's still adapting.
Holl does need to play more then 1 every 30 either way.

Analysts sometimes are like "SBA library" and crowd support etc. Man, fill the SBA with Maple Leaf Square / road Leafs fans and the place would be rocking. The bulk of grassroots Leafs Nation I would say can't afford to go. I love the Western Canada road trip!
