Dear Mr Marner,

Do whatever the hell you want. Make as much money as you can. Score lots of points. Keep your mouthguard in your mouth, it's disgusting.

Or don't, whatever.

Regards, Bullfrog

Sign the best offer sheet that's been presented to you. The Leafs will match. Let's get this over with.

Yes do your best negotiation wise, but you are reaching a tipping point and once you go over it, there is no turning back.  At least without a Cup.

Sincerely
A long-suffering Leaf fan who continues to suffer.

A tipping point to what?
The Tipping Point can come if Mitch sits at home or goes to Switzerland or gets his rights traded to the Coyotes.  Imagine him coming back to play against Toronto if for some reason the truck goes off the cliff.

Do you think the Leafs are anywhere near even considering trading Marner right now?
Not a snowballs chance in hell!

from an Article in todays PPP titled "Wednesday’s FTB: How Mitch Marner turned himself into a villain"

*grandfather Mitch Marner explaining his career to his young grandchildren*

"and so the trade was how i ended up playing my whole career in the sunbelt and never won anything. but it's important to remember, kids, i now have 88 million dollars instead of 81 million dollars"

Funny how this follows my open letter by one day. Perhaps a lot of others feel exactly like I do. Or my son feels even radical about. How much is enough?

I am well aware of all the worlds problems Nik, I used to live in the Caribbean for many years

Huh. So despite being from here you decided it was in your own best interests to live and work somewhere else.

Man, the choices people make.

Whats that got to do with the price of eggs in Norway?

Yes. It is a very subtle and hard to understand point I'm making there.
