I remember her. Very thoughtful person from what I could gather. I didn't know her as well as some others here, but she was special....found this pic...there's a happy Leafs Fan!

:'( Thank you for posting this.

She was a truly amazing and wonderful person and I miss her terribly.  She is always in my thoughts and I'm a better person for having known her.  Wishing you were with us still Sakura.  We miss you friend!

RobDM

What a tremendous loss of a wonderful person.

Can't believe it's been six years. I remember Darryl's devastating instant message on MSN. Then I authored the front page bulletin to tell everyone of the tragedy; phoning a few posters who knew her well, but aren't "daily" posters.  It was a day I'll never forget, for all the wrong reasons.

We've still kept her tribute page on our site:

As for the tree that we planted in her memory in Rennie Park, thanks to donations from many of you, I last visited it in May on the day of what would have been her 43rd birthday. It seems to be doing quite well!  :)

Miss you lots, Sakura!

Wendel's Fist

I think everyone was blown away with the news back then.

I remember that even when I argued with Sakura, she's probably the only person that ever made me think............wait a minute, maybe I'm the idiot here. She just had a way of doing that without even trying.

From the few PM's that I had with her, she was a sweet girl with wisdom way beyond her years.

Anyway, just wanted to say that it was very classy for all involved to keep a sticky thread for her in a temporary forum.

Well done.

We're so classy around here, we even let habs, sens, and flyers fans post!

I joined the site after M-Gro had left, but I always felt like I really missed the chance of conversing with someone special.

I still can't believe it's been over six years.  It still feels like yesterday I read the news on the main page with my heart just sinking and a sick feeling in my stomach.

TheMightyOdin

I was going through some of her flicker photos and reading blog entries the other night. It is such an amazing archive of her persona. So positive and full of life and love.

So sad when one of our crew moves on . I toasted one to her last night, and my thoughts go out today as well. miss ya kid.

Didn't get chance to post here on the 14th that I still miss M-Gro.  Infact I STILL can't walk through the garden section of a store without thinking of her.

In life I deal with so much BS and stress with government, broadcasters, contracts that this Leafs community gives me a place to be light hearted (as well as passionate).

Sakura was so sensitive to others and so concerned that everyone was OK that it had a profound effect on all of us who were touched by her.

You will never be forgotten Sakura!

I echo all your thoughts.  I posted early on the 14th, but it seems to have been wiped out with the site outage.

She was such a good person that really brought out the best in others.  The world desperately needs more people like her.  She is missed so much by so many.

I still miss talking to her, she was a very special person.

7 years. Where has the time went?

Maybe it's just me but it seems the world hasn't been as cheerful or as positive since her life ended.

I hope and pray her family are still well and one day we'll all get into TML debates in the sky again with Sakura.

It's been a busy summer and life is as usuall "hectic" but Sakura is never far from my thoughts.  She just pops into them here and there and sometimes, it's still hard to grasp the reality that she isn't here.  7 years?  Gosh, where has the time gone.

You are never forgotten m-gro.  We miss and love you dearly and this world isn't the same without you.  Keep watching out for us hun!
