So, I'm pretty sure I'm cutting the cord on cable TV. I watch a lot of CBC programming, but that streams free on their website. The big question: how do I continue to watch non-CBC Leafs games, legally?

I think your only option would be to subscribe to both the Sportsnet and TSN streaming services.

Depending on the amount of non-hockey content you want, there are also a number of internet-based television services, though some are tied to specific ISPs.

By legally, I really just meant that I'm willing to pay for legit services.  ;) If I pay for GameCentre, damn right I'll find a way to by-pass the blackouts. I'm geographically closest to Winnipeg and Minneapolis, but am in the Leafs' region.

Currently, we subscribe to Netflix and my wife just joined Amazon Prime. We're trying to drop the amount we pay in internet/TV and the options are pretty limited up here in the great white north. It's basically Shaw or TbayTel (the local provider). Both are good, but just ultimately too expensive.

I could probably live with: internet, Netflix, and some means to watch Leafs games (I'm not against using "free" streaming options).

$20/mo for Sportsnet streaming? It would be cheaper to keep my TV package.

I'd go with GameCentre/VPNs then. From my experience the quality is much better with that than using TSN/SN's streaming services too.

Rest In Peace Bob Einstein a.k.a..Super Dave Osborne.

I remember watching Super Dave and later the series "Bizarre", produced in Canada (in Toronto).

For the Bye Week, I have some recommendations (which I probably recommended before).
Your mileage may vary obviously since they're my tastes. I like subversion.

Please add yours (because I already watched all these)

Fun (and might still be in theatres): Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse
Next-level animation, super tight story and character beats

Phoebe Waller-Bridge stuff: Killing Eve, Fleabag, Crashing (UK)
Her writing (and acting in the latter two) blend pathos, dark humour, and cringe in wonderfully entertaining ways.

Super Smart Takes on Very Naughty Topics:
Blockers (2018)
The trailers did this film a disservice.

Sex Education
Sex Education covers the gamut of topics I'd want a proper sex ed curriculum to address, wrapped in an engaging story with full-depth characters. Probably don't want to watch this with the kids though, as it starts out and sets the tone with a literal bang.

Mayans MC has finally made it to UK TV on the BBC. EVen better they put all 10 episodes out on the streaming service so I managed to watch the first couple.

I loved Sons of Anarchy but towards the end I thought it got a bit... terrible and lost the run of itself. This seems to have the same mad moments but the tone is a little more settled so far. Enjoyed it.

Rest In Peace, Luke Perry.

I used to watch 90210 back in the day.  He played the role of Dylan McKay so well.   He also starred in other roles & series in later years.

I don't know how many people have Amazon Prime but if you do and don't find the Prime Video app too frustrating to use I'd highly recommend checking out the show Catastrophe. It's 4 British seasons so only 24 episodes but it's very funny and the 4th and final season, which just wrapped up, did a very good job of dealing with the loss of Carrie Fisher.
