That elbow Alfie took was awful. Hard to believe Zonopka got 5 and a game for a rub-out and Wolski only get 2 for head hunting.

5 straight!

Winning Formula: Sens vs. Leafs
By Mutant Chipmunk
Ottawa Sun

Toronto Maple Leafs (7-2-1)
Forwards

    Joffrey Lupul-Tim Connolly-Phil Kessel
    Clarke MacArthur-Mikhail Grabovski-Nikolai Kulemin
    Matthew Lombardi-Tyler Bozak-Matt Frattin
    Phillippe Dupuis-David Steckel-Mike Brown

Defence

    Carl Gunnarson-Dion Phaneuf
    Jake Gardiner-Luke Schenn
    JM Liles-Mike Komisarek

Goalies

    Jonas Gustavsson
    Ben Scrivens

Ottawa Senators (6-5-0)
Forwards

    Colin Greening-Jason Spezza-Milan Michalek
    Nick Foligno-Stephane Da Costa-Daniel Alfredsson
    Erik Condra-Zack Smith-Chris Neil
    Jesse Winchester-Zenon Konopka-Kaspars Daugavins

Defence

    David Rundblad-Chris Phillips
    Sergei Gonchar-Jared Cowen
    Filip Kuba-Erik Karlsson

Goalies

    Craig Anderson
    Robin Lehner

PLUS

The Senators are going to find out exactly where they stand during this stretch of games. After hosting the Leafs, they travel to Boston to face the Bruins Tuesday ... There were concerns about D David Rundblad during training camp, but he has stepped up to be one of the club’s best blueliners in the last two weeks ... Expect to see G Craig Anderson make the start against the Leafs. There is no sense in taking him out at this time, especially against a division rival.

MINUS

The much-improved Leafs scored a 6-5 victory over the Senators on Oct. 8 in the second game of the season at the Air Canada Centre. Ottawa allowed two power play goals in that game ... The Leafs have C Tim Connolly, the club’s big free-agent signing in the off-season, back from a shouder injury. He wasn’t there to start the year. He played 12:32 in his first game vs. New York and recorded no shots ... LW Clarke MacArthur scored his first of the season vs. the Rangers.

INJURIES

LEAFS: RW Colby Armstrong (ankle); G James Reimer (head).
SENS: D Matt Carkner (knee); C Peter Regin (shoulder).

ONLINE EXTRA

NO REIMER: G James Reimer is doubtful for Sunday against the Senators for the “whiplash” the Leafs won’t call a concussion. If he’s brought off IR, he’ll back up and Ben Scrivens will be returned to the Marlies. The only other possible change for Sunday could be Jay Rosehill and Orr to counter Chris Neil, Zenon Konopka and Zack Smith.

THIS' N’ THAT: The Leafs went into Saturday night’s game vs. the Penguins with six victories. It’s the first time since Oct., 2007, the Leafs have recorded six wins in October. The club has not won seven in the first month of the season since the lockout ended ... According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Phil Kessel’s seven goals in Toronto’s first-five games of the season was the most by a Maple Leaf since Sweeney Schriner scored eight goals in the Leafs’ first-five games in 1944-45.

Yeah after tonight we start playing some decent teams - hopefully he's back soon.

It was not a pretty looking hit, and Filatov's been recalled.   I think Alfie may be riding the press box for a while.
