So, most of you likely know that I've been fighting depression/anxiety on a major scale for 18 months now.  I haven't worked that entire time.  I rec'd EIB for the first 12 months, but nada for the last 6 months.  Oh well, goes with the illness, chewing away all of our savings.

But today I mistakenly leave the freaking dog out of her crate for a few hours and she obliterates:
- my crocs (I wear them everywhere, even to church - shutup, they're awesome)
- my son's black work shoes, bought 3 weeks ago
- my son's converse high-tops, bought late this summer
- my wife's running shoes.

I'm sure that's well over $200 lost by a year-and-a-half old labrador retreiver.  I'm gonna have to be creative to find the cash to replace all those.  I guess I'll hold a bake sale or something...  GRRRR!

:-(

just don't be too hard on the dog. I'm sure she didn't mean to be trouble. Maybe she's making a fashion statement?

You could always tell her it's coming out of her Milkbone money. Make the dog get a part time job to pay for it all!

I had a lab who obliterated our entire living room. At first I thought we had been robbed. Couches moved from one side of the room to the other, broken lamps, overturned coffee table, stuffing from couch cushions all over the place.

Other then this one episode he was the best dog I've ever come across. Just an awesome family member... But holy crap was I ever pissed off.

while he never ate footwear, we had a dog that chewed up deck wood, carpet, drywall, and part of a couch....he even ate his own doghouse. My husband, who'd just built and insulated the damn dog house, watched as muttli chewed all along the plywood roof....so he poured tabasco sauce all over it. And discovered that there must have been Mexican blood in the German Shepherd/Lab cross, cause the stupid dog ate the tabasco laced wood too.

Conveniently doesn't destroy anything that belongs to your daughter. Maybe every dog doesn't have it's day (insert CSI gif of David Caruso putting on sunglasses) ;D

The word "trending" ..... arghhhhhhhh

I actually love that word, we using graphs to trend how a lot of our equipment runs (time it runs, voltage/current ratings, water flows) and it helps out a lot in determining when a piece of equipment isnt running efficiently! Our trends help us out a lot and save us time troubleshooting or correcting a situation before it becomes a bigger problem.

I'm torn...

I hate the word because it's overused, misused, and treated like a buzzword by nearly everyone you run into.

I love the word for the very reasons Leafaholic cites...if utilized properly, trends can save a huge amount of time and money. I couldn't run my department efficiently without trend analysis. Well, I could, but it'd cost a significant amount of money more.

For many of the same reasons: "Branding" and "Social Media".

Wow, 1.5 yrs old and he/she still goes on the destructive rampage?  You know what, you'll never win this battle...for one of my dogs i gave an effort to remove everything from the floor that might be chewable...so she gnawed on all the trim off the walls and stair posts.

Cesar Milan would strongly disagree with you. And then, prove you wrong.

By using ridiculously outdated, cruel, and outright wrong methods of training.

Bell Xpressvu, you suck!

We have a reciever in the control room, which we use to listen to radio stations during the shift. Well they don't really have that much for a selection anymore, a lot of station are gone on there now. I was looking for a good classic rock station, but nothing, ughhh

We usually listen to OZ fm all the time, but there is one song they play almost every hour and I'm sick of it lol
