The last two films I've seen are "A Monster Calls" and "Manchester by the Sea". I'm in need of a comedy - both films very sad and one of them very close to home! (With less tree monster)

Main Leafs Hockey Talk / Re: Auston Matthews

That's great, if there's anyone NOT in danger of getting a big head it's Auston. Dude lives with his dad in downtown Toronto. 19 going on 42. Leafs not only won the lottery, but the character lottery as well.
How many 42 year olds live with their dad? :) (sorry) I know what you mean. He has a cool temperament. More confident than arrogant.

I think i first appeared around 2004, but hardly post. I had to re-register when I came back on again this year. I have always been a interested reader from afar.

Very sad news. "Last Christmas" will seem poignant next year. It's hardly ever off the radio at Christmas time. I wasn't a massive fan of his solo work but his Wham work was iconic to a certain generation.

What a rubbish year. I'm still gutted over David Bowie at the start of the year. I usually don't feel affected by celebrities, but so many this year I've felt sad over.

I haven't seen Rogue One yet - I have booked to see it on the 27th, but it wouldn't let me book the film again for an earlier showing :( I've had to avoid spoilers. I've heard good things.

SSD is the best upgrade on any computers i've installed. Though I don't have one on my own laptop as it doesn't give me the storage i require, and I don't want to mess about with NAS drives for music etc.

Really enjoying it so far. Second in the medal table.

Nice to see a small team win the Premier League. Leicester, who were bottom 18 months ago, won the title with odds at over 5000 to 1.
Here are some things the bookmakers thought more likely:
Prime Minister Simon Cowell - 500/1
Piers Morgan as Arsenal manager - 2,500/1
Sir Alex Ferguson to win Strictly Come Dancing - 1,000/1
The Queen for Christmas number one - 1,000/1
Loch Ness monster to be discovered - 500/1
Triplets for Kate and William - 1,000/1
Kim Kardashian for US president - 2,000/1
Is Elvis alive? - 2,000/1
