All Sports But Hockey / Roger Clemens Mis-Trial declared
« on: July 14, 2011, 12:54:49 PM »
A mis-trial has been declared in the Roger Clemens trial

Two scenarios:

#1 - Prosecutors were looking for a way out and threw the game

#2 - They are incredible idiots.

I vote for 90% #1 and 10% #2

Anyone else notice that the time listed in the posts is one hour behind the actual time?

The servers must be in the central time zone.

I think you can adjust the time shown in the Profile section.

In the meantime:

- drivers stopping as they enter the freeway
- drivers doing the limit or less in the fast lane, holding up numerous cars and being totally oblivious
- drivers suddenly deciding that the far right lane is where they need to be
- drivers slowing down to a near-dead stop to turn into a street

I feel a little better.

Disappointed Sons of Anarchy had no noms at all. The last show of the season, with the incredible twist should have got it for writing if not for Best Drama

Main Leafs Hockey Talk / Re: The End Of The Bill Watters Show?

There was a cryptic comment today on his show. Wilbur was digging at Jim Ralph about applying for
jobs and after Ralphy said he didn't apply for jobs Wilbur said something to the effect of "I didn't
either until lately" or something like that. Thought it was weird at the time but it makes some sense
after reading this thread.

I listen via the net quite often and Wilbur has gotten stale - railing on about Dion, Phil, Heatley and a
few other favorite whipping boys most of the time. His cache as an ex-Asst GM of the Leafs is old old news now.

I like Jim Ralph a lot. He could do the show on his own if he wanted or needed to.

When do we start booing Komi?

No reason to fear it as Fehr still gets paid no matter what... :o

Fabian Brunnstrom  was in Montreal for two days on the weekend and has visited  two other cities (reportedly Dallas and Detroit). Gainey said Brunnstrom "has the talent for the NHL" and expects the  Swedish star to make a decision by  the end of the week." -

I was going to say the same thing!

why is that?

Well 3 or so years ago, he was on a tour with teams trying to sign him. Now, he's trying to convince them to even offer a deal.
