Title: Yahoo Hacker Hockey 2015/16
Post by: Madferret on September 24, 2015, 07:12:05 AM
Hey Bondy aka Missconduct are you going to renew the Yahoo Hacker Hockey pool anytime soon? I'll take it over if you don't want to run it this year (?)...
Cheers
Dev (Ferret)

I'm in if we have a board-wide league.

I'm in if Hacker starts up again or if someone starts a new league.

I've been in it every year since the beginning and would come back again in a heartbeat.

I missed the first year, joined in '08. It was my first foray into Fantasy Hockey. Haven't looked back.

I got a message saying "There is not room in this league if all teams from last year return. If you were invited to take over an existing team, please click the link in the email you received to join the league. To create a brand new team, get the commissioner to increase the maximum number of teams, or remove teams that will not be returning."

Any way to change that?

Got two other drafts coinciding with this one on the 4th so that will probably affect my drafting a bit  :P Hopefully my turn doesn't come at the same time in 2+ leagues too many times, that could cause some interesting picks even tho I have pre-ranking lists made for each league.

Ok just noticed the draft has been moved and now it's at 3am on Monday morning in Finnish time. I'm not really a fan of auto-picking so I'm gonna drop out for this season - will rejoin in the future though if the draft time is changed to something more suitable for me.

Edit: Gonna leave the team there as it would be a stretch for you to find a replacement; got some pre-ranking lists done but they were not for this league so it's not gonna be optimal.

I won one year when I couldn't make the draft and had to auto-pick. You might just have to be more active with trades to get some players you want. pre-rank and you'll be competitive.

For once the autopicker did pretty well, got a few of the players I really wanted on the team and the season has started on a positive note after making some fine tuning via free agency. Now if Rask only returned to his normal form instead of trying to emulate his mentor from the times he still played here in Finland, Vesa Toskala, and everything would be good.

A 3rd round pick for a free agent pick-up? Nice trade Ferret.

Yet you still question my moves

Hey MissConduct,

Is this pool dead, or are we gonna start it up again?
